rom Bangkok, we’ll bid Sawasdee Krab (“goodbye”) to the hustle and bustle of the city and hello to island living. We’re headed to Koh Samui—one of the larger islands on the eastern side of Thailand. Hopefully we’ll also be able to get a cooking class in while down here as Southern Thai food is distinct from Northern Thai or even Bangkok.
From the gorgeous landscape of the southern Patagonia Ice Field, we head north to the stunning Swiss inspired town of San Carlos de Bariloche (or Bariloche) for short. Set within Argentina’s Lake District, this town is known for it’s picturesque qualities and notable German and Swiss influences—including lots of chocolate shops :p
Since it’s Thanksgiving and we’re away from home. We’ve decided to splurge a little and spend a couple of days in an incredible hotel in Puerto Natales—the jumping off point to the Chilean side of Patagonia. We’re still holding out hope that we’ll be able to go on to see Torres del Paine.
